What Next for Human Rights?

The HRCS will hold its second conference on Thursday 25th June 25 2015 from 9:30 AM4:00 PM on ‘What Next for Human Rights?’.

The day will be an opportunity for reflection, sharing knowledge and  constructive,  partnership planning.   The conference will discuss how to better mainstream human rights across our public sector in Scotland and to consider what mechanisms should be in place to ensure we can respect, protect and fulfill our human rights in the UK.   The event is for HRCS members and is therefore free to attend.
Keynote Speaker is Alex Neil MSP, Cabinet Secretary with responsibility for Social Justice, Human Rights, Communities and Pensioners’ Rights.  Final agenda and speakers will be confirmed in May 2015.

The event is supported by The Centre for the Study of Human Rights Law in The School of Law at the University of Strathclyde, and by the Scottish Universities Insight Institute.
