The Human Rights Act 1998

Reports suggest that abolition of the Human Rights Act (HRA) will not be included in today’s Queen’s speech, which announces the UK’s programme for government over the next year.  Reports also suggest that abolition is delayed rather than abandoned.

If reports are correct then there is much work to do.  We need to persuade politicians and people that promoting the HRA and protecting basic human rights is right for the whole UK.
