Human Rights lawyer struck off

A high profile human rights lawyer, Phil Shiner, has been legally disqualified after it emerged that he had paid an Iraqi middleman to find clients alleging abuse at the hands of British soldiers.  He previously brought a large number of cases against British soldiers and the Ministry of Defence.
