Figures obtained by the Sunday Herald show that at least 39 homeless people have died in Glasgow in the last 10 months. Following the report, a Director of one of Scotland’s leading homelessness charities called for more to be done to tackle homelessness in the city.
The numbers were taken from an FOI request submitted by the Glasgow newspaper and are taken from May 2016 to March 2017. Graeme Brown, Glasgow Director of Shelter Scotland has called for the newly elected SNP-led council to take action.
