Human Rights and the Scottish Parliament: Evidence
Members of the Human Rights Consortium Scotland have submitted joint evidence to the Equalities and Human Rights Committee of the Scottish Parliament.
The Committee were looking for input around how best the Parliament can be a guarantor of human rights. Our evidence highlights: the need for training for MSPs; to increase SHRC capacity; the Committee should use UN treaty monitoring as a structure to progress rights; and the need for transparency and meaningful participation, amongst other key points.
