The Scottish Government has worked closely with Engender and Close the Gap to create a new set of actions to address the pay gap between men and women.

The actions include looking at what happens in the early years and in schools, as well as things like employability and social security.

Engender said in response:

‘We’re very pleased to welcome the new gender pay gap strategy. We were delighted work alongside sector experts at Close the Gap as part of development, & are pleased to see the Scottish Government continue to develop innovative approaches to policy. ‘
