Public sector funding for human rights – HRCS discussion, 7th August pm, Edinburgh

How should third sector work to protect human rights be funded? Is there enough public sector funding to see human rights realised? What are the public funding challenges for the third sector?

These are some of the questions being asked by EHRiC – the Scottish Parliament Equalities & Human Rights Committee –in a draft budget scrutiny inquiry.

Civil society organisations are invited to come and discuss key issues to raise in this inquiry, at 2-4pm on 7th August in central Edinburgh. The discussion will inform the HRCS submission. It will also help organisations who are putting in their own evidence.

We will also discuss what post EU funding should look like for human rights in Scotland.
