It seems a long time ago since Brexit was the first item on the news, and the UK has now left the EU. But what have we learned from the Brexit process? What has actually changed because of Brexit? What future impacts should we be aware of and concerned about?
You are invited to this interactive event, from 10am to 2:30pm, to get an accessible Brexit update, as well as opportunity to discuss and ask questions. A new report will also be launched on voluntary sector recommendations following withdrawal from the EU.
Organised by the Human Rights Consortium Scotland with SULNE, SCVO and GCVS, this event will be an excellent opportunity to find out what you need to know about Brexit impacts. A report of discussion will also be shared with Government to inform and shape post-Brexit policy.
Chaired by Ian Bruce from GCVS, speakers include:
- Scottish Government
- Nicola McEwen, University of Edinburgh and Centre on Constitutional Change
- Jane Thomas, Brexit commentator
- Charles Whitmore, Cardiff University
- Nicole Busby, University of Glasgow
- Emma Ritch, Engender
- Belinda Pratten, Equally Ours
- Jen Ang, JustRight Scotland
We want this event to be accessible to all. If you have any particular accessibility requirements, please let us know as soon as you can so that we can make any arrangements required.
BSL Interpretation will be available – please could you let us know by Thursday 27th May if you will use the BSL Interpreters. After this date, we will do our very best to provide BSL Interpretation but cannot guarantee it.
