The Scottish Government has announced an independent inquiry into COVID-19, and has asked for stakeholders to submit their views by the end of September. In addition, the Government is also considering which aspects of COVID-19 temporary legislation to make permanent, and the third sector needs to have a voice in those discussions.

Therefore, members of the Consortium are invited to an online discussion on Wednesday 22nd September from 10-11.30am, on COVID-19 and Human Rights. This discussion will inform the Consortium’s submissions to the Scottish Government, and will also be a valuable opportunity to share information and reflections to inform your own submissions or work in this area.

We will also be asking some important questions for the future, such as ‘what are the big messages around COVID and human rights?’ and ‘what can we do to amplify those messages?’

If you are able to take part, please email Rebecca@hrcscotland.org to be sent Zoom details and the agenda.
