Human Rights Act Roundtable, 25th January @10am

the words human rights with lots of different coloured hands

On the 14th December 2021, the UK Justice Minister Dominic Raab announced plans to replace the Human Rights Act with new legislation. The UK Government is running a consultation on the proposals.

Join the Human Rights Consortium Scotland from 10am-12:30pm on Tuesday 25th January, for an in-depth discussion on the proposed reforms, including our plans for a joint consultation response and detailed advice on how to write your own organisational responses. We will also be discussing Scotland’s COVID-19 Public Inquiry.

As with all our Roundtable discussions, attendees will also have the opportunity to share their own updates, goals and views.  If you would like a 5 minute slot to give an update, please let us know. All civil society organisations are welcome to join.

This meeting will be conducted over Zoom. Please contact Rebecca@hrcscotland.org for details.

We want this event to be accessible to all. If you have any particular accessibility requirements, please let us know as soon as you can so that we can make any arrangements required.

BSL Interpretation has been booked for this event. Please let us know by Tuesday 18th January if you will use the BSL Interpreters. After this date, we will do our very best to provide BSL Interpretation but cannot guarantee it.
