Human Rights Act Reform: Responses from Wales Northern Ireland and Scotland, Wednesday 2nd March @11:30am

The UK Government has published a consultation that sets out concerning proposals to replace the Human Rights Act 1998 with a Bill of Rights.  This new Bill would fundamentally reduce legal protection for human rights across the UK.  It would have implications for people no matter which part of the UK that they live in, whilst also interacting significantly with devolved law.

Organised by the Human Rights Consortium in Northern Ireland, the Human Rights Consortium Scotland and the Wales Civil Society Forum, this webinar will hear from Government Ministers from the three devolved administrations about their perspectives and concerns about the proposals.  There will also be reflections from civil society and academic experts from across the UK.

This event will be an important and insightful opportunity to listen to views from devolved voices at this very important time for human rights.
