Implementation, Implementation, Implementation! Thursday 23rd March @10am

In March 2021, the Scottish Government made a commitment to introduce a new Human Rights Bill for Scotland. This Bill would incorporate 4 major United Nations human rights treaties directly into Scots law, making it much easier for ordinary people to name and claim their basic rights.

2 years on from that announcement, we’re still waiting for the consultation on this Bill. Not only is it important for the Bill to pass, but it must be put into action properly in order for it to make a difference.

Join us for this online seminar from 10-11:30am on Thursday 23rd March, featuring experts on the implementation of human rights. They’ll be discussing how the Bill could be implemented, and the difference it could make. Find out what lessons we can learn from other human rights laws, on how to implement this one well. Share your questions and thoughts about turning words into action.

This webinar will be part of a series of events, running from the 20th to 31st March, focusing on the Human Rights Incorporation Bill.
