Being Human: Human Rights Defenders, 20th April @10am
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the adoption of the UN Declaration of Human Rights Defenders, the Health and Social Care Academy and the Consortium are hosting a special event to explore the role that human rights defenders play in upholding and protecting human rights.
This engaging session will involve a panel sharing their insights from policy, practice and lived experience on what it means to be a human rights defender within the context of health and social care. The panel will share their thoughts on what the Scottish Government, Parliament and public bodies need to do to ensure that human rights defenders are supported and protected. It will also provide the space to network and make new connections.
